One of the greatest fears of people who bring a case is that they’re actually going to have to testify. If you’re a person who has a resident in the nursing home and you are never there, obviously you can’t add a whole lot to the story that’s going to unfold in the context of the case or before a jury. It’s often necessary for the resident’s family to testify because they’re the only people who are going to be able to tell a jury or tell an insurance company how mom or dad was before the events and how they are after. While it is a great fear of many people, most people are afraid of public speaking before anything else, it is incumbent upon us to bring forth witnesses that are going to flesh out the client’s case and allow the trier of fact to see that this is in fact a legitimate case with an egregious injury that demands some compensation.
